About Us

Dowagiac Area Federal Credit Union is a member owned non-profit financial institution.

We provide services to persons living or working in Wayne, LaGrange, Silver Creek, Pokagon, Penn, Volinia, Marcellus, Decatur and Paw Paw townships in Cass and Van Buren counties, as well as members of their family by blood or marriage.  Once a Member always a Member.

The Board of Directors is made up of seven members who have been elected from the membership of the credit union. There is a three member Supervisory Committee who is appointed by the Board of Directors. All the volunteers give their time freely and receive no compensation.

The credit union was organized in September 1972 by the Sundstrand Employees. In 1978 we became a Community Chartered Credit Union.
